I am a Lecturer in Ethics at King's College, London (2025-6). My current research focuses on the ethics of Aristotle through the lens of under-appreciated figures in the history of 20th century philosophy.

I am particularly interested a group of of Neo-Aristotelian Naturalists which engage seriously in animal life and ethology e.g., Mary Midgley, Alasdair MacIntyre & Martha Nussbaum.

My work is committed to expanding the canon particularly to include more women figures into the Aristotelian tradition.  I also work the moral thought of figures in early analytic philosophy, like Susan Stebbing and Helen Knight.

  2. Read my recent article in aeon here: 'So many unmarried men' - it's about a forgotten radio script written my Midgley which reveals a form of epistemic injustice (and suffers itself from the same kind of injustice). This was aeon's most read article in February 2025.

  3. I've just finished a collected volume on Mary Midgley's Moral Philosophy and Ethics, for Palgrave Macmillan (forthcoming).
